History
1971 –Delta Electronics - Establishment
Delta Electronics was established in Taiwan when Bruce Cheng began producing TV coils and electronic components. This year represents the beginning of the company’s global journey, which today operates in more than 160 countries.
1994 – Beginnings in Slovakia
We opened a sales office in Bratislava and launched our first projects in Nová Dubnica. This set the foundation for our long-term presence in the European market.
2000 – Slovakia becomes the main production hub in Europe
Our Slovak plants became the production center for Europe. The modernization of the ZŤS manufacturing plant boosted both the technological level and efficiency of production.
2001 – Ascom Energy System (Slovakia) s.r.o. - Establishment
The establishment of Ascom Energy System (Slovakia) s.r.o. enabled us to expand our technology portfolio and provide comprehensive energy solutions for customers in the region.
2003 – Delta acquires the Energy System division from the Swiss Ascom Group
Including Delta Energy System Slovakia. This step strengthened our capacities in energy solutions and expanded the company’s presence in the European market.
2005 – Customer service and distribution from Slovakia
We began offering repairs and service through our own center and sending shipments directly to our customers, thereby improving service and logistics.
2006 – Own sales activities and decision to establish our own production plant
We launched independent sales and decided to invest in our own production plant in Slovakia.
2007 – Production plant opening in Dubnica nad Váhom
We opened a modern plant that strengthened our production capacities and enabled us to meet the growing demand for our products more efficiently.
2010 – The most successful year in the history of Delta Electronics Slovakia
Thanks to increased business activities and a boom in the photovoltaic market, we achieved record results and significantly strengthened our market position.
2011 – Expansion of operations and product portfolio
We started planning further expansion of our product portfolio and entry into new markets, boosting our competitiveness in Europe.
2012 – Expansion of production facilities
We opened another production hall, introducing new technologies and creating space for hundreds of employees.
2016 – Implementation of Lean management
We implemented Lean management principles, which significantly streamlined production, reduced waste, and improved the quality and flexibility of our solutions for customers.
2017 – Acquisition of Eltek s.r.o.
Through this acquisition, Eltek s.r.o. was integrated into Delta Electronics Slovakia. This step enhanced our technology portfolio, expanded production capacity, and enabled us to provide more complex solutions for European customers.
2022 – Opening of a mechanical engineering plant in Liptovský Hrádok
We launched a modern plant specializing in mechanical production, supporting precision manufacturing of components for IT, telecommunications, and industrial applications, thereby expanding our production capabilities.
2025 – Official transition of Eltek s.r.o. to Delta Electronics (Slovakia) s.r.o.
Eltek s.r.o. became part of Delta Electronics (Slovakia) s.r.o. This merger brought synergy of know-how, expanded our manufacturing and technological capabilities, and strengthened our position as a leader in innovative and reliable power solutions for customers across Europe.
